What does recruitment actually look like — and what should you do if you are the one being recruited? EXILES lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov discussed this with Daniil Konstantinov on the programme Prozhektor.
In his conversation with the journalist, the lawyer explained:
– how the security services recruited former Pussy Riot member Rita Flores
– how the FSB constructs a new psychological reality for the person it has recruited
– why Rita Flores was able to sabotage the assignments the FSB gave her
– why you should not make hasty decisions after signing an undertaking of covert cooperation, and should instead turn to human rights defenders with experience of such cases
– what ways there are to get out of a recruitment
– how Rita Flores managed to bring her covert cooperation with the security services to an end and flee the country
– how to contact human rights defenders safely
